In the Alternative Energy Resources Technology Program, there are 1 Associate Professor and 1 Faculty Member. In 2019-2020 academic year, it started education by taking the first students.
With the increasing industrialization in the world and in our country, the need for energy is increasing day by day. Fossil resources that are limited to meet the growing energy demand will not be sufficient soon. Therefore, interest in alternative energy sources has increased in our country and in the world. Investments in wind turbines and in the last 10 years have increased to a great extent in the last 20 years as our country turned to alternative energy sources. There will be a great need for technicians to be employed in the new energy production sites that will be built in the near future.
As the surrounding provinces such as Aksaray, Konya, Niğde and Karaman are designated as energy specialized regions by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, investments in these regions have increased, especially in the sun, and the need for intermediate staff is increasing day by day.
